Said, who is driving the No. 94 Turner Motorsports BMW in the Grand-Am Rolex 24 at Daytona this weekend, will pilot the No. 36 Ford [edit by TBO: should be #26] for Bill Jenkins in NASCAR this season. Frankie Stoddard, who Said referred to as his “partner” in the venture, will be the crew chief. Roush Fenway Racing will provide the cars and engines.

Said, 47, said the team is still looking for sponsorship for the remaining races to fill out the schedule.

“If we have to start and park we will,” Said said. “We’re going to run the first five races that’s for sure.”

Said has attempted four Daytona 500s and qualified for the 2005 and 2007 event. His best finish was 14th three years ago. Said's best NASCAR Cup finish on the 2.5-miler was fourth in the 2006 Coke Zero 400.

Great. They're going to blow the 26's owner points by starting and parking for a few races and probably calling it quits after that.

Guess we will see how it plays out. I really hope they don't call it quits after the first five races, especially since they've got a spot in the top-35.
