Race director David Hoots was questioned about restarts several times during the prerace Sprint Cup drivers meeting at Chicagoland. Hoots answered that all cars would simply move up in their line instead of reshuffling the whole field, and the second-place car would get to control the restart - even if it had the outside position. Burton seemed to really be upset with the double file restarts.

Burton was only upset because he was getting wrecked. If he was taking advantage of them and gaining positions, he'd love them.

it seems like a lot of the drivers aren't fans of it, but they go with it because the fans want it

I can understand the drivers not liking it at first, but once they get used to the whole situation I think they will think differently.

then they'll forget the way it was
