| Good luck! If they are as fast as they have been, they won't have any problems making the race. | |

| 3rd in first practice - looking very good!! Update: Fast again in second practice. Unfortunately, the go or go homers go last in qualifying and that will be a serious disadvantage for Bill and the 21 team. Won't be able to go for a top-10, but a top-25 may still be in reach. I think they would have a shot at 3rd-5th if they had a decent qualifying draw. | |

After a four hour rain delay, Indy qualifying is finally over. Bill picked up over three tenths of a second from practice running a 49.90 second lap. He qualified 4th for tomorrow's Brickyard 400. When asked about the lap, Bill stated, "I just tried to run a smooth lap. The car ran real well. Hyder and the guys did a heck of a job preparing the car."
Mark Martin earned the pole with a lap time of 49.44 seconds. WTG Mr Elliott!!!!! Hope they have a great finish tomorrow. | |
