Bill Elliott and the #21 team picked-up almost three tenths of a second during its qualifying effort running a lap time of 38.750 seconds. Bill's lap was good enough to earn him a 9th place starting position for Sunday's Carfax 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Brian Vickers won he pole with a lap time of 38.453 seconds

Great job! 16th is a good finish. The whole team did their job. They kept working on it and got the car better from the start of the race.
