I don't know the specifics or anything, but they had to have been. Even before the car wouldn't restart, Tony was down 2 laps. With them already locked in the Chase, it would make sense they would try something. Especially true considering how good the car has been this year and then completely miss it here.

Lap 12 -- Tony Stewart in 25th is the highest-running car to pit. Robby Gordon, Jeff Burton, Jeff Gordon, Joe Nemechek, John Andretti, Elliott Sadler and Joey Logano also pit..

Lap 13 -- Tony Stewart back on pit road.

Lap 15 -- Tony Stewart goes a lap down after pitting twice to fix his radio issues.

Lap 106 -- Tony Stewart still has radio issues as he cannot communicate with his team. Matt Kenseth complaining about his car and the handling as he drops back to 10th.

Lap 140 -- Tony Stewart back on pit road trying to get radio issue fixed. A.J. Allmendinger in the garage.

Lap 142 -- Tony Stewart being black-flagged for speeding on pit road and is now two laps down.

Lap 167 -- Tony Stewart on pit road and receives a new radio.

Lap 440 -- Kevin Harvick takes his car to the garage. Kurt Busch remains on the track. Tony Stewart is stuck on the track and is in need of a push to get started. (I think it was a battery problem) I really wasn't paying much attention to what his problem was.

Lap 445 -- Clint Bowyer, Casey Mears and Kurt Busch making multiple stops under this caution and all remain on the lead lap. Tony Stewart remains on pit road and is now six laps down.

Lap 453 -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. up to fourth. Tony Stewart takes his car to the garage.

Lap 457 -- YELLOW FLAG NO. 9: Sam Hornish Jr. overheats and then slides up into the wall after getting his tires wet from the overheating. Scott Speed gets the free pass. Tony Stewart back on the track.

WOW thanks for the rundown . It was great. Smoke sure had a bad night. Think Hendrick is getting a little tired of Tony running better than his top drivers?

Personally I don't much care for the whole Hendrick bunch. Just curious. I tried finding the Lap by Lap rundown but could not find it. Missed most of the race due to company.

Wow. Tony certainly had a ton of problems. I noticed he was way down on the leaderboard, but didn't know what happened.

I would've hated to have been on the other end of that radio with Tony.
