Broken foot won't stop Edwards from racing in Atlanta

Carl Edwards, who is currently fifth in points, fractured his right foot playing Frisbee Wednesday.

Edwards will race this weekend and is expected to see a specialist in his hometown of Columbia, Mo., Thursday afternoon.

In 10 Atlanta starts, Edwards has three wins, six top fives and eight top 10 finishes in 10 starts. A fourth win, or any result which would leave him with a 196-point lead over the 13th-place driver in the standings, would clinch him a spot in the Chase for the Sprint Cup with one race remaining.

Something was wrong in the engine/oil system. Didn't hear the exact problem, though...

I heard it was a whole in the radiator.

I think that debris hit the oil pan .... something like that.

At least he's safely in the Chase; I think he'll have a tough go of things with that foot for the next few races, though.
