Why was the thread locked?

We were discussing the peculiar order of finish for current and former Yates drivers, I wanted to post a reply and it was locked?

Because it was just an argument, and it was going no where.

We had a disagreement, but I thought we both kept it civil. So, does every thread on here have to have the participants in total agreement?

I VERY RARELY lock threads; it is something that I try very hard not to have to do. In some cases, it's just what I deem for the best.

Certainly don't want this to make you leave the forum.

Well, I didn't consider it getting my toes stepped on, and in fact signed out of the conversation and didn't come back until today. Again, I am sorry for my part of this. Being an admin is not easy, and I did not intend to impact your job.
