| Good day overall from Gilliland and the #38 team so far today, but what the heck are they doing staying out to make things easier for Johnson?
He is in a Chevy. You are getting support and are driving a Ford.
We don't want to make his day easier when he is racing other Ford teams.

| I imagine that Hendrick is paying them off to get that help. But, he's also helping Kasey Kahne because Johnson can get farther into his box and that allows Kahne to get out easier.
I think it's pretty nice of the 38 to help these guys out that are racing up front.
Gilliland is going to get a top-20 if all goes well; he's doing a great job today.

Gilliland is going to get a top-20 if all goes well; he's doing a great job today. They are running very well, but they shouldn't be helping a Chevy team. And Kasey doesn't have anyone behind him (there's a space) - he doesn't really need Johnson to be to the front of his box, Kahne can afford to stay near the rear of his. The 38 is helping Johnson by staying out. We don't need a Ford team helping a Chevy team.
