During the initial practice runs, Driver Bill Elliott was pleased with the car's handling. While several adjustments were made during practice, Bill seemed most comfortable with the car’s original set up.

After completing a good first practice, the Team prepared for qualifying. The #21 was selected to qualify 41st of 48 cars. Usually a later qualifying spot is good because cooler track temperatures provide better grip for the tires. Unfortunately, today's weather brought increased wind speeds resulting in slower track speeds. Despite the wind, Bill still ran a qualifying lap 2/10ths of a second faster then his best practice lap qualifying 37th.

The teams will have two practices tomorrow and race on Sunday. Live race coverage begins at 1:30 pm EST on FOX.
