Menard to drive Roush/Yates NW entry in 14 races

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Yates Racing driver Paul Menard said Saturday he will run 16 NASCAR Nationwide Series races this season in conjunction with Roush Fenway Racing.

Menard competed full time in what is now known as the Nationwide Series in 2005-06 for Dale Earnhardt Inc. before moving to Cup.

Menard joined Yates for 2009, bringing Menards sponsorship with him. Yates is affiliated with Roush Fenway, receiving cars, engines and technical support from the team.

Menard likely will drive the No. 17 Ford in Nationwide events.

“It's going to be through Yates Racing in affiliation with Roush,” Menard said. “But it'll be an under the Yates banner. I think we're going to announce something [next] week as far as who the sponsor is, but it's pretty exciting.”

Well sponsor is likely to be Menards, but I could see citifinancial because don't they normally sponsor the 17
