Keselowski to the 12, effective IMMEDIATELY

TALLADEGA, Ala. - Brad Keselowski will start his driving duties in the No. 12 Sprint Cup Series Dodge for Penske Racing starting this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

Keselowski will replace David Stremme, multiple sources have told FOXSports.com.

Keselowski, who finished eighth in Sunday's Amp Energy 500 and is currently third in Nationwide Series points, was announced as Roger Penske's latest addition on Sept. 1.

The 25-year-old third-generation racer rose to prominence in the NASCAR ranks after he was discovered by Dale Earnhardt Jr., and offered a ride in the No. 88 JR Motorsports Nationwide Series Chevrolet. He finished third in points with two wins in his first full season in 2008 and was named the most popular driver in the series. This season Keselowski has scored four wins in the first 32 NNS events.

Keselowski's shining moment came after winning the spring Talladega Sprint Cup race in his fifth career series start.

Stremme is currently 31st in points and finished 22nd on Sunday.

Wow! I find it a little surprising Stremme won't finish it out.

Me too! David has been running better of late... hate that he's losing his ride, and hope he ends up with something in Nationwide or trucks next year.
