Solid finish by Allmendinger in a Ford while Kahne has a good run go bad

AJ Allmendinger once again had a very strong day, running top 15 most of the day and finishing 10th.

Kasey Kahne had a top 15 car, but dropped a cylinder, blew up and finished 33rd.

Elliott Sadler was 22nd.

Paul Mennard was 29th.

Who is setting up Allmendinger's cars? Are they getting them from Yates/Roush or building them themselves?

Two races in Fords, TWO top-10s for RPM. That's promising! Very Happy

Elliott Sadler's car last week was a YATES car, set up by Yates and delivered to the RPM shop to be brought to the track.

Allmendinger's cars are RPM cars, with RPM setups and a Ford engine. RPM is doing everything themselves for the 44 FORDS.

That is what I wanted to hear. So basically we won't be held hostage to Roush next year. We will get our engines from Yates-Roush while building our own chassis and doing our own setups?

If true, I just became an even bigger RPM fan.

Now if they can call it RPM-Yates in order to keep Menard's $$$ on-board, that would be even better.

Didn't listen to his radio, but he lost a tire, and that's what ended his day. He was struggling a lot before that, though. Kahne and Allmendinger had fast cars, but the other two were well off the pace.
