Menard finishes 13th, Labonte 40th

A very good run by Menard solidifies him inside the top 35 going to Phoenix. Labonte just couldn't get it done before hitting the wall and taking himself out of the race.

Paul did very well. I was impressed. Hope he can continue the momentum in the next few races

He got a top-15!!!

When's the last time that happened... LOL anyways congrats to him for getting himself more of a cushion in the top-35. Hopefully he can keep it up.

Well there will be bad days, just hoping not to many LOL-

David, what is with you doubting Menard? I think the way he's been running in the Nationwide Series shows he's a decent driver. If Paul has a good car he can run in the top-15 every week, or most of the time.

Sorry Chad, but I'm still kind of mad at him for taking Travis Kvapil's points, which ended up in the 28 being closed!

Well if they hadn't done that the points would of probably went to nothing. The 28 didn't have enough sponsorship to make it through the season. So why not give them to a driver coming in? Paul struggled a little at first, but he's getting better. It takes time to make decent cars with a new team. With the way he ran at Texas, I'm sure they'll use that car at many other 1.5 or 2 mile tracks, only strengthening their program. This is just my opinion, but I expect Paul and the 98 to be a solid top-20 team either at the end of this season or definitely next season. But once again, that's my opinion.

For the sake of Yates Racing, I really hope you're right!

Me too... it's not that I don't WANT him to do well. I want the Yates team to prosper from getting Menards as a sponsor and Paul as a driver.

And you think that was Menard's decision or maybe it was the decisions that had to be made to get some money for the YATES TEAM TO SURVIVE. Would you as a sponsor, putting the kind of money that Menard is putting into the YATES Orginazation, want any less than to be guaranteed a spot in a race.

I think Paul and Bobby we'll both be good at least the next race, after all it is Dage. I expect them to run good there every race
